The role of CAR and SII values in determining mortality in COVID-19 patients: a retrospective observational study.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between CAR, SII and mortality in patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This retrospective study included COVID-19 patients admitted to the emergency department (ED) of a secondary unit care hospital. The relationship between the laboratory parameters (Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and Platelete-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), fibrinogen, D-dimer, procalcitonin, ferritin, and C-reactive protein, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Crea)), and COVID-19 mortality was examined by comparison with the survival group. Logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate the independent factors affecting mortality. A total of 1519 COVID-19 patients were analyzed.
